Hi vegan travelers! Fielding here. I’m hard at work planning better trips for you to enjoy.

Thank you for all your support in 2026, and thanks for your patience as I prepare for 2027 and 2028. Hiking Biking Vegan is a one-man operation: I am the trip leader, trip planner, logistics manager, customer service agent, accountant, insurance specialist, and website designer (among other duties). This means that I inevitably get behind on one of those tasks, and this month that’s the website.

Your favorite tours will return! And some new ones that you’re excited about will be making their debut. There will be changes to tour structure—these are being made with your feedback in mind, for the purpose of making your travel experience even more enjoyable. I’m proud of all my hard work, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Important announcements about 2027 Tours:

In light of historic heat waves across Europe in recent years, HBV will no longer be running our 2027 Algarve and Basque Country tours.

All signs point to another historic heat wave in 2027. Therefore, with the safety of HBV cyclists and hikers in mind, I have decided to postpone these trips until I am confident that local infrastructure has been updated to prevent heat-related power failures. The goal is for you to not just be safe, but to thoroughly enjoy your time traveling with HBV. To that end, I will offer these tours again once I am satisfied that the updated itineraries can be enjoyed without any increased risk of heat exhaustion or other heat-related illnesses.
